Internet Democracy, Not Yet!
So the Governmnet sets up an online petition on the Number 10 website, gets 1 million signatures then ignores it, "The power of the web!" How many people will it take before the Government will act? It's an interesting start to the concept of internet democracy. Paul's article discusses how social computing will redefine bureaucracy, I don't think the Government are set up for being redefined just yet! I imagine that they are a little scared!

There is no such thing as democracy. Lots want to Water Ski on Lake Windermere but a quango has determined that it should be banned. Join my ePetition and write to Tony Blair to get the BAN lifted.
Yes Tony I agree that some people want water skiing on Windermere, however I personally feel (and so do all my friends - all of whom live permanently in Windermere - not one of those weekend owners) that the stopping of water skiing was the best thing that has happened to the lake. It is now a much quieter and pleasant place to be. There are plenty of other lakes to choose from.
Good luck to you Tony - but just in case your ePetition fall on deaf ears - which we all know it will - I am in the market for a new boat - what have you get and does it come with a trailer? - How much?
Looks like there is some common sense prevailing at long last on this issue.
